Our Favorite Harvest Hosts Destinations Across the Country

Harvest Host Destinations
1
Wine Country Wonders, California
We have stayed at so many wineries with the Harvest Hosts program. Some of our favorites have been in Texas, New Mexico, North Carolina, and Florida. Still, nothing holds a candle to the wineries we've had the pleasure of visiting in California. The Mayo Family Winery in Sonoma, with its lush vineyards and wine-tasting paired with small bites, delivers an authentic wine-country experience. You can even park your RV right in the vineyard!

Distillery Dreams, North Carolina
Weldon Mills Distillery in North Carolina is a gem. Tour the historic corn mill and enjoy a complimentary bourbon tasting by the scenic Roanoke River. In between the distillery and tasting room is a large grassy park that is a great place to sit back and enjoy the views of the river before it's off to bed in your "home-on-wheels"!

Scenic Farm Stays, New Jersey
For a taste of rural charm and serene countryside views, would you believe that New Jersey is top on our list for a Harvest Hosts destination? Donaldson Farms in Hackettstown is a family-owned farm that offers serene countryside views, a fantastic farmer's market, and a welcoming community vibe. We got a full tour of the farm, got to know the folks who work here, and enjoyed the many fresh grocery options at the farmers market including locally baked goods and in-season treats.

Fluffy, Friendly Neighbors, Maine
Last but not least on the list is our favorite Harvest Host destination of all time. Misty Acres Alpaca Farm is a working alpaca farm in Sidney, Maine. Witness alpaca births, chat with the friendly owners, and take home cozy alpaca fleece socks. It’s our top pick for its charm and hospitality.
