When @thorindustries asked me to share my #windowtotheworld as a #thorpartner, thoughts of all the beautiful views I’ve seen came flooding back. Living in my RV, I knew I’d see fresh landscapes, but watching them change through my front windows has quickly become one of my favorite experiences. I’ve woken up in the desert, surrounded by large cacti, fallen asleep among the red rocks of Moab, been surrounded by snow-capped mountains, listened to waves crashing against the California coast, and even parked at Laguna Seca, a famous race track known around the world. The view out my window here is along the coast of Big Sur, California. My RV is my #WindowToTheWorld. What’s your favorite part about this view?

I consider views like this to be a form of mindfulness. Some people have their version of meditation, but watching and hearing waves crash against the shore puts my mind at ease.

How do you decide where to go next?

You know what? I’d like to ask my mind the same question. Some days I wake up and think, “I want to sleep next to the ocean tonight.” So, I go. Other days, I feel like it’s time to be in the forest or high in the mountains. So, I go. That’s why I’m currently all over the place until I figure out where I want to stay for a bit.

Which views are on your bucket list?

I’m really looking forward to Oregon when it’s not so rainy.

What’s one piece of advice you have for RVers?

Ups and downs are going to happen, things are going to break and days aren’t going to go as planned. There’s always a solution. Living full-time in an RV has helped me find solutions quicker and to not feel as frustrated during the process. Enjoy the good moments and learn from the rest. Frustration arises when you don’t know what to do because of an uncomfortable new experience. I remind myself that I’d rather feel frustrated than experience the same daily routine inside a bubble.
