We believe that our team members make better decisions in a shorter amount of time when business ethics is used as a guiding principle.
Not only do strong business ethics benefit our team within THOR, it also helps build a strong relationship with our customers as they can see we have the same values and standards they believe in. Our vendors are also expected to embrace our business ethics policy.
ETHICS TRAINING & REPORTING
THOR requires team members, based on role and level in the organization, to participate annually in business ethics training. Providing our team members with resources to help make good decisions through an ethics program cultivates strong teamwork and productivity. Issues can be communicated anonymously using our multilingual third-party hotline via phone, email or online inquiry system. Every report is investigated and corrective actions are implemented when appropriate under the circumstances. THOR protects team members who report issues from any retaliation.
This policy sets out the ethical standards THOR expects from those conducting business on its behalf and promotes consistency of expectations and conduct across all business levels. It addresses several subjects specifically, including accurate and complete accounting, fair dealing, conflicts of interest, equal employment opportunity, anti-harassment, health, safety, and the environment. This policy also contains a confidential whistleblowing procedure, which ensures that employees can safely come forward with concerns.
This policy prohibits corruption and bribery by THOR, its employees, and its representatives. This policy strictly requires compliance with applicable law, including the United States Foreign Corrupt Practices Act when conducting business on THOR's behalf. And we have a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and/or corruption.
