Nate has a passion for adventure and the outdoors. He spends much of his free time camping, surfing and spearfishing and takes his two little girls with him on those adventures as much as possible. In the midst of all that, he loves spending time cooking and learning about all the tasty nuanced ways of cooking fish that he catches. See more of Nate and Katie in A Roadmap to Family.

Why do you like it here?
The hiking trails are super accessible for kids and within a few minutes you are in an epic landscape of red rocks on every trail.
What’s your favorite part about this view?
The view captures the quintessential red rocks that Zion is known for.
How do you decide where to go next?
We look at which activities and adventures will help instill a sense of awe and wonder in our kids.
Which views are on your bucket list?
I think the next view on our list is Half Dome in Yosemite.
What’s one piece of advice you have for RVers?
For those with older trailers, if you haven't been on a trip in a while, do a small one day overnight trip in advance of bigger trips to make sure you have everything working and have the right gear in your trailer. Sometimes it gives you a chance to dial in the details, which can be draining while you're on a longer trip.
