Kristiana fell in love with Airstreams as a kid when she spotted one on a cross-country trip with her family in their VW bus. In 2003, she founded Silver Trailer, a custom Airstream rental company for commercial clients. She lives in an Airstream in Downtown Las Vegas and has a home with her husband Greg on the American River in California.

Why do you like it here?
I love that the area offers paragliding and a sweet downtown, a great combination for my husband’s interests and mine! He used Golden Tandem Paragliding for his run.
What noteworthy places are nearby?
I loved my visit to the Art Gallery of Golden. I found a pair of beautiful handmade mugs by ceramic artist Kalika Bowlby. @kalikabowlby @artgalleryofgolden
How do you decide where to go next?
I own and rent out my Airstream, which allows me to see some amazing locations. I deliver my Airstream to the rental destinations, and I always build in time to camp before and after drop-off. Other times I try to coordinate with friends’ travel plans to meet up on the road.
What’s one piece of advice you have for RVers?
Traveling with a dog is the best gift you can give yourself and your pup. There are more planning details to work out, but the companionship and bond is so worth it. Another bonus is that you’ll meet other dogs and dog lovers on the road.
