Top 5 Events to Experience in Your RV in 2025
From hot air balloons to music festivals, here are the top five events to add to your 2025 RV itinerary.
Traveling in an RV for over four years means that my RV fits a lot of what I need. When I found it on the lot, I knew it was a perfect fit. I signed the papers the same day I saw it for the first time. My RV is a 2021 KZ Durango 291BHT.
The first thing that caught my eye was how much natural light flows into the RV. It has four skylights throughout, plus large windows in the living room area. The moment I saw it, I imagined scenic views out of those windows.
Another big selling point? The shower. I knew I wanted a residential-size shower—something wide, with no curtain—and this RV checked that box. I love showering (sometimes up to four times a day!), so that feature was a must.
I knew I’d likely need to work remotely from my RV at some point. My partner, who I originally planned to travel with, also had a remote job—so it was important that we had a room we could use as an office. That way, we could both be on Zoom calls at the same time without hearing each other’s voices echoing in the background.
I removed one of the bunk beds from the bunk room to install a standing desk, which holds three monitors that I use daily. Since I typically work for eight hours straight, I constantly switch between sitting and standing. This desk lets me enjoy home-office comforts while on the road.
In the kitchen, I have a large, deep sink with a chef’s faucet that I use constantly—especially when cleaning the RV. One of the main updates I made was adding a Genesis Revive backsplash, and it looks absolutely gorgeous. KZ did such a great job designing the RV that I haven’t had to change much else.
I kept one of the bunk beds, which means I can still host a friend when I travel. Last summer, my friend Aaliyah joined me for a month-long trip, and the bunk room/office doubled as her bedroom. It gave us both our own spaces—something that becomes really important when you’re traveling together for that long. I especially love that the bunk room is on the opposite end of the RV, so we had plenty of privacy.
The bunk room also has its own toilet and sink, so we each had a bathroom. That was a game changer. On long travel days, there’s no waiting around—we could both do our thing when we needed to.
So far, my RV has taken me to 34 states and 2 countries. It’s been my base camp for the past four years as I’ve worked remotely in tech. I work in IT and cybersecurity, and my favorite place I’ve taken the RV to is Glacier National Park in Montana. I probably wouldn’t have ended up there without the RV—and wow, it absolutely took my breath away. Going-to-the-Sun Road was stunning, and I loved being able to come back “home” to my RV and work in such a beautiful setting.
In the summer, a typical RV day starts with me making a Frappuccino in my Ninja Slushi. While it blends, I hop in the shower, then grab my frappe and get to work in the office. I usually work from 8 AM to 5 PM, and then go for a hike afterward.

This camping trailer affectionately nicknamed a “Fiver” is a favorite of many, especially those taking extended trips or traveling extensively in their RV. The prominent overhang resting above the tow truck bed is frequently employed as a bedroom suite, or, more recently, a living room or even a kitchen.
