What is an Engagement Survey?

Engagement surveys are designed to gather feedback from team members regarding their experiences and perceptions within the organization. The aim is to understand team member sentiments, identify areas of strength and opportunity, and work together to enhance overall satisfaction.

What does it measure?

Using standard benchmarked questions, we will gain insights into team members’ thoughts and attitudes toward their work and the overall environment. The survey will include a variety of questions covering topics such as job satisfaction, organizational culture, communication, effectiveness, and team member well-being. The questions have been carefully crafted to provide insights into different aspects of the team member experience.

Who is conducting the survey?

THOR is partnering with a third party, Qualtrics. While we will be working with each of our family of companies to tailor the survey appropriately for each company, we will be using a set of standard benchmark questions across the organization. Qualtrics’ signal item questions, as well as standard KPI questions, have been tested and proven to deliver critical information about the team member experience.

Who is eligible to participate?

All team members across the THOR family of companies are eligible to participate. We would like all team members across all companies to take the survey.

Is participation mandatory?

While participation is highly encouraged, it is voluntary. We strongly encourage all team members to participate and share their feedback and experience as this information is crucial in shaping the future of your organization. Participation metrics will be continually evaluated to ensure we are getting appropriate engagement.

When will we take the survey?

We plan to launch the survey in May 2025. Your onsite HR teams will work with departments across the company to coordinate timing for each team member.

How will we take the survey?

There will be many options available through our third-party partner. To take the survey electronically, you may have a link sent to you directly or you may need to log in using credentials. Please contact HR to discuss all available options.

How long will the survey take to complete?

The survey is designed to be concise and should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.

Is the survey anonymous?

Individual responses are anonymous, but we will be able to track participation. This is purely to track completion rate. We will NOT be able to see individual responses. All responses will be aggregated and analyzed in a way that protects the confidentiality of individual team members. Honest and candid feedback is encouraged to ensure the survey results accurately reflect the collective sentiments of the workplace.

Who will see the results?

Once the survey is closed, results will be shared with company leadership and your HR team. Each company will then share results with their team members.

What should we expect to come from the results of the survey?

Our goal is to identify areas of strength, areas that need improvement and implement action plans, accordingly. Each company will communicate survey results and share action plans with their team members.

Will team members receive feedback on survey results?

Survey results will be communicated to team members after the survey closes. This can include key findings, trends, and proposed action steps. We understand the importance of keeping team members informed and engaged throughout the process.

How often will the Engagement Survey be conducted?

The frequency of the Engagement Survey may vary based on organizational needs and priorities; however, we are committed to regularly seeking feedback from our team members to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with our values and objectives.

We Need Your Feedback! On May 5th, all team members are encouraged to participate in an Engagement Survey. This year’s survey is a pulse survey, comprised of questions following up on key areas from last year’s survey and should take approximately 5 to 10 minutes to complete. This anonymous survey will provide insight into team member sentiment and identify areas of strength and opportunity, so we can enhance overall satisfaction at your organization.
