Yellowstone National Park

Stop 4:

Yellowstone National Park

Located in the northwestern corner of Wyoming and about a five-hour drive from Devils Tower, Yellowstone National Park continues to be a primary destination for millions of visitors each and every year. With several entrances to the park and an astounding amount to see, careful planning (or an extended stay) is recommended to experience as much as possible.

For accommodations, you’ll find numerous lodges located throughout the park. But one of the most impressive is Old Faithful Inn. Built in 1903-1904 with local logs and stone, the Inn is the largest log structure in the world. In addition to lodges, hotels, and cabins, Yellowstone has 12 campgrounds with more than 2,000 sites that accommodate tent and RV camping. Some campsites can be reserved, while others are first-come, first-served. Of course, roughing it in a tent is also an option, but keep in mind that permits are required for all overnight stays and must be obtained in person no more than 48 hours in advance of a trip.
